Two juniors at the Metamora Township High School achieve perfect act results

Metamora (25News Now) -Two junior students of the Metamora Township High School received perfect points for their act tests this year.

Naomi Roth and Natalie Loring achieved 36 in their tests on their first attempt. Both students said they hoped to score in the 30s in the 30s, but did not expect to achieve perfect results.

The law returned to the high school in Illinois this year after being replaced by the SAT in 2016.

Director Charlie Zimmerman said that it was rare for a student, let alone two, a perfect 36 on the test. Nationwide, only one of 700 students is drawn out.

Loring said the score had her and what she achieved in her academic career.

“It means that the hard work that I have done over the years, the academic year, the second year, so far in the junior year, really has something more than just seeing the grades on a certificate,” said Loring. “It really means so much more. That showed me that the whole work was really worth it.”

Roth said she studied for two weeks before the test. She advised the students who are preparing for the act examination next year, to concentrate on remembering what they have learned in class.

“A lot of material is just the things you have learned from the past three years that you have been in the high school,” said Roth. “Make sure you take care of in class and actually learn the things you need to know. That would really help you with the test.”

Of 216 Metamora students who did the crime this year, Roth and Loring were the only ones who received the perfect scores.
