Crash takes out the power stable and leads to power outages on the west side of Grand Rapids' West Side

Grand Rapids, me. – A crash on the southwest side of Grand Rapids switched off the lights for around 2,000 customers on Wednesday morning.

The crash occurred shortly before 8 a.m. at the intersection of Hall Street and the Cesar E. Chavez Avenue, one of the vehicles taking out a power supply rod. The broken pole took off power lines and cut electricity in several street lamps in the area together with about 2,000 houses and companies along the US 131 from MLK Jr. Street to Burton Street.

Occupations from the city are working to restore the service as soon as possible. The drivers are reminded that they treat powerless traffic lights during the four-way stops.
