  • Sammy Hagar played a “kick -ak -ace” set at StagoCoach 2025 and connected with an older, hard rock.
  • Hagar inspired his new song “Encore, thanks, goodnight”, a tribute to the late Eddie van Halen, who was inspired by a lively dream.
  • The StagoCoach performance was a return for Hagar, with the family in the area and a surprising appearance in Guy Fieris Smokehouse.
  • Hagar believes that the song has helped him find the conclusion with Eddie and, with the help of guitarist Joe Satriani, channel the spirit of his former bandmate.

Before TikKok existed, Sammy Hagar existed.

The Van Halen singer has no viral or trendy songs on social media. He won his fans in an old -fashioned way – musical talent and a rock star.

Festival goers were only switched off for the photo during Hagar's “Kick -Ass” set in StagoCoach 2025. Hagar's appearance was a refreshing break from the preaching country concerts of the previous two days, the amount of which more on college acceptance letters and dense back and tight back bed and dense back.

Hagar cut off the top of his Santo Tequila bottle, threw it to the crowd and met the content during his performance to an older, hard rock audience, many of whom Hagar or Van Halen saw live during the glorious days of fresh top charting album in 1984 or 1995.

“I was born to do this,” said Hagar in his microphone with Red Hot Wheels about such a large audience.

Shaders shocked the crowd of “Panama” during the Chorus Echo and during the last song on the setlist “I can't drive 55.”

The chemistry on the stage between Hagar and long-time bandmate and van Halen brother Bassist Michael Anthony was easy to see, followed by a cautiously preserved 77-year-old tenor vocals.

Hagar met a few minutes before Soundcheck for his Palomino stage in a hurry.

We spoke on Blue Cheetah Print bedding in True Rock 'N' Roll Fashion on the way to StagoCoach, his new song, which was written in a dream cooperation with the late van Halen guitarist Eddie van Halen, and the excitement for the StagoCoach world premiere of the music videos.

Hagar's enthusiasm for StagoCoach

Stago coach is a place known.

A large part of the family of the California restaurant lives in Coachella Valley. His music -loving relatives of Country, including his children and his wife Kari card, were at the festival.

“It's a bit like a return for me, I belong here,” said Hagar that he was asked to play at the Country Festival.

Stago coach was “pretty cool” for Hagar. He had a high mood before he came onto the stage and enjoyed hanging around with other artist fans behind the stage, which he hadn't seen for some time. A surprising appearance in Guy Fieris Smokehouse pop-up at StagoCoach was a preview for fans of the upcoming excitement.

Hagar had a nightly set, one of the last that completes the three -day festival, but he is not a stranger for late nights. He and Rock'n'roll Hall of Fame Van Halen Band mate drink 12 hours in a row, seven days a week, Hagar told in his autobiography “Red” 2011. Sleeping or pill -needed nights were common in the early days of the band during the tour, especially for the brothers van Halen, who were in rehab and outside of rehab.

When Hagar entered the stage on Sunday evening, he presented the world premiere music video of the new single “Encore, thank you, goodnight”.

“It is a very special video because I have proven the dream [where he wrote “Encore” with Eddie]. Everyone who is a van Halen fan – it will choke you, ”says Hagar.

“Attack, thank you, good night”

The reception of “Encore, thanks, goodnight”, published on Friday, April 25th, was “really great,” said Hagar. The fans accept the homage to Eddie and agree with Hagar that the recognition is “long time”.

Eddie's son Wolfgang van Halen published “distance” with the band Mammoth, after his father died to pay tribute, and Alex van Halen wrote the “brothers” memoirs about his brother in 2024, which Hagar was his own way to say “thank you”. Now, he says, it's finally your turn.

Hagar had the dream two years ago.

Although he says that his dreams are always “really real”, this was one of the most lively hagar. In it, Eddie and Hagar wrote a song as they did during the Peak van Halen -Ruhmes.

Hagar was just in the process of singing the melody when the word “thank you” came to my mind. His subconscious quickly returned to reality when he realized that his good friend no longer lived and woke up, but not before he forgot the melody.

He quickly wrote the melody in the middle of the night – a familiar writing process that Hagar told in his autobiography with the hit song “AWM Sight”.

“I didn't know what to do with it,” says Hagar from his artist trailer in StagoCoach, Mini Yorkie “Money” strangely on foot. “It wasn't finished yet.”

Hagar played the unfinished melody for guitarist Joe Satriani, who supported Hagar on his best world tour and, according to Hagar, had played “Perfectly” van Halen Songs. “[Satriani] Canalized Eddie in a way, “and helped Hagar to end the route, and safely, safe for the singer and his deceased friend.

Van Halen's mainman says that he really believes that Eddie tried to break through him. “Some people say: 'Ah man, Sammy is crazy' – yes. Hagar is a” firm believer “, to which dreams contribute to synchronizing the deceased and life in the same plane.

Eddie may be in a different dimension, but if he accesses the Dreamworld tools, he and Hagar can “Hey, what's going on” from time to time.

The feedback for the new song was emotional for fans, which is ironic because it is such a “ass -kicking” song, said Hagar.
