Man who was accused in the death of TN College Football player, consumed Tequila, Kratom before the crash

Huntsville, ala. (WSMV/Waff) – The man who was accused of having killed a Tennessee College Football player in Alabama in an accident on Interstate 65 was supposed to consume tequila and Kratom before crash.

John McAdams appeared on Tuesday in a preliminary hearing in Huntsville, Alabama. McAdams is charged with murder, under which influence and leaves the scene of the accident in connection with the death of the football player at Austin Pay State University William Hardrick.

Waff's Faith Delp reports that the state troops who carried out the man's sobriety test said that his alcoholer had shown a BAC of 0.15. McAdams allegedly admitted to drink a tequila water bottle before being accused of 27 miles of terror.

He also allegedly admitted to bring half a teaspoon to a tablespoon of Kratom on the morning of the crash. Kratom is an opioid -like drug and illegally in Alabama.

The state team Paul Richie said McAdams said he had a nap at 3 p.m., he was supposedly the tequila, fell asleep and did not remember when he came back on the street.

According to Trooper Richie, the first crash occurred at 6:35 p.m. Hardrick died in one of the following accidents.

Hardrick's uncle James Pennington was present during the hearing and said he spoke to his nephew the day he died.

“I called him that day when I worked, he was like 'UNC – I pack to get ready, go home. I have to update my license, bring the star to my license so that I can travel with the team.' And I was okay, let me know when you make it home.

McAdams' lawyers requested that they have granted a bond, and the judge will soon make a decision on this application. The case will go to a big jury to see if it is put to court.
