Bartlesville Police RAMPT 75 patrols after injury accidents twice as

Bartlesville – The Bartlesville police are working on curbing a trouble trend. Injury wrecks have more than doubled in the community.

A ride over the Highway 75 by Bartlesville is busy for miles with cars, trucks and vans.

“It is a really very high motorway that goes through a really small community,” said Shannon Fox.

MJ Humby and her family live directly from the main street.

“It was a perfect place for us to educate our family and just be part of the community,” said MJ Humby.

Her family has been living near Highway 75 for two years. Recently it is not just the street noise you hear.

“We have many fire engines and ambulances on the highway much more often every day,” said Humby.

Your neighbor, Shannon Fox, noticed the same.

“I'm a few blocks away, so you can definitely hear it,” said Fox.

“We found that we had many accidents on the Highway 75, so we looked at the numbers,” said Andrew Ward.

Andrew Ward, deputy chief of police at Bartlesville, said that they had more than twice as high as the number of injury wrecks last year.

From January to May 2024, BPD had 80 wrecks without injuries and 7 injury accidents.

From January to May 2025, BPD had 59 non -injuries and 16 injury accidents.

According to deputy chief defense, it is a trend for the city with 40,000 people.

“We are aware of this and want to deal with the situation and try to limit these numbers for the next year,” said Ward.

He says that the officers will concentrate on catching the drained drivers, speedometer and red light runners.

“We want to have safe roads,” said Ward.

Neighbors like Fox and Humby say that they will be happy to see additional patrols on the highway up and down.

“In any case, I think it will help,” said Fox.

“I hope that it will make people aware of their speed and are more aware of what they are doing while they are behind the steering wheel,” said Humby.
