The life of a bug: NBA Draft Lottery suffer again for hornets

Charlotte Hornets coach Charles Lee represented the team at NBA Draft Lottery, where they ended with the fourth choice, even though they had the best chance together with Utah and Washington to end with the top election.

The Hornets missed the NBA Draft Pick No. 1 – again.

This feeling is not new in Charlotte, but one that is just as disappointing for fans and media every year that the team cover. The Hornets had a 14% chance of securing the top selection together with Utah and Washington, and somehow Charlotte was the only one who was selected among the top 4.

The Dallas Mavericks, who only had a 1.8% chance of winning the lottery, secured the rights to the alleged top election, Cooper Flag. Despite the more disappointment of the lottery, Hornets coach Charles Lee was positive.

“I see a very deep design class,” said Lee.

Jeff Peterson, Vice President of Hornets from Basketball Operations, said now that the lottery results would have wiped out a few things.

“After we know that we choose fourth place, it will help to clarify some things about only discussions with other teams,” said Peterson, “and only to continue the process because we are here with the design designers. So we are definitely excited.”

I hear that she was coach Lee and VP Peterson, but there has to be the feeling of loosening yourself, right?

While the Mavericks had never won the lottery and won the quarter -festival team in relation to the percentage with just a chance of winning. The fans of Charlotte, Utah and Washington are surprised about fairness. If a team that was in the game tournament will win the lottery, how does the design help the teams?

Cooper Flagg will now connect a team with multi-time-all stars Kyrie Irving and Anthony Davis. A Mavericks team, which was not necessarily in reconstruction mode, now gets a player with incredibly unique skills and gives the three teams the highest chance of winning the lottery-and still got a good player and missed a potential franchise failure player.

Flagg was almost loss of word when he was interviewed after the lottery results had been announced.

“It is simply an incredible experience to be here and have this opportunity,” said Flagg. “This is what I've dreamed of since my little child. In the future, I will continue to look forward to being a two-way player. I've done that since my little child, so I will just do it as much.”

Flag said he hadn't tried to concentrate on where he would go in front of the lottery because it was outside of his control. Not to speak for flag, but I know myself and probably everyone in their place would be happy that they end up in an established franchise like the Mavericks compared to a place that is rebuilt.

Who should get the Hornets on No. 4?

We all know that Flagg will have disappeared before the Hornets are selected to No. 4. The question arises as to who meets the needs of the Hornets and who is the best overall train. Of the next four players in most Draft Big Boards, there are two that I keep in mind whether I am Lee and Peterson in the combine harvester.

Ace Bailey, 6-10 strikers, Rutgers: Bailey, as big as he is, can stretch the floor as a shooter with medium and three points. Its versatility could prove to be useful for Charlotte who have 6-7 miles bridges that play the Power Forward.

The roster could be moved a little to the place where bridges after Small striker and Brandon Miller are moved at Shooting Guard. If the hornets did this, Bailey would fit directly into the side. Bailey also jumps defensively from the side with an average of 1.3 blocks and 1.1 steals per game in one season at Rutgers.

Overall fit: a

VJ Edgecompbe, 6-5 Wache, Baylor: Edgecompbe is a solid player with three and D. He is a bit raw, but could develop into a special player. It weighs 180 pounds and is very quick. It would not surprise me if the team that takes him in would like to be that he adds weight for durability purposes.

Bailey scored an average of 15 points, 5.6 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game in one year with the Baylor Bears. Adding another guard in the wrinkle with Lamelo Ball and Miller, which have already been determined, would also cause a little adjustment of squad. Since Miller is larger at 6-7, one could assume that the hornets could bring him to a small striker to make room for Edgecompbe at Shooting Guard.

Total adjustment: B-minus

If Bailey is there by chance at the fourth choice, take it with you. If not, Edgecomb is not a bad choice, but I wouldn't have withdrawn from Charlotte. Then the question of who would be interested in acting?

The mistakes are now used to all of these scenarios, and the bad luck in the lottery of the draft is not unusual. Now a new trainer and VP can experience what others have in front of them, and for Hornets supporters it is not a funny place where you are located.
