Euthanasie drug found in the death of the vet – were social media to blame?

The forensic doctor of Clark County has confirmed that the death of Las Vegas Equine Equine, Shawn Frehner, was a suicide, drowning, as the main cause and the presence of Pentobarbital -an euthanasia medication -which was contributed as a factor. Frehrer's body was discovered at Lake Mead last month, just a few weeks after being relentlessly social media after the spread of a controversial video in early April.

While the details of the video remain unclear, one thing is certain: the unchecked toxicity of online mobs has real consequences. At a time when Cancelkultur is widespread, and Keyboard Warriors as a judge, jury and executioner, we have to ask – when did we lose sight of the proper process and the personal accountability? Frehner's death forces us to face a troubling trend: the weapons of social media to destroy lives before facts are completely known.

This tragedy also raises serious questions about mental health in professions with an intensive public examination. Veterinarians are already exposed to one of the highest suicide rates in medical specialists who have increased by printing, small companies in an economy plagued by inflation and over -regulation. Has the additional weight of the online nuisance of Frehner pushed over the edge? And where were the voices of reason that demanded restraint before the truth could appear?

America is based on principles of fairness, individual freedom and the innocence values, which were increasingly undermined by the knee jerk impairment of the digital age. If we continue this path, how many more lives will the court be lost to public opinion?

What do you think? Should social media platforms be held accountable for enabling nuisance, or is personal responsibility the real problem? Rotate in the comments.
