Suspicious murderer in the Durham police headquarters after the police took the officer's weapon, says :: Wral.com

One person is dead after the police said they were shot at the Durham police authority headquarters on Wednesday evening.

According to the Durham police, the investigators concluded an interview with a suspect in connection with a murder. The police said while waiting to take the suspect away, they plunged and accepted a weapon of a police officer from Durham.

A physical struggle occurred after the suspect had taken the gun and the suspect was then shot. EMS carried out the first aid in the event of an emergency and transported the suspect to the hospital, where he later died.

The police said no officials were injured and it seemed as if the suspect had full control over the weapon when they started.

“I am unable to go away. We are working on facts alone,” said Patrice Andrew, police chief of Durham Police Department.

Andrews said that her condolences went to everyone involved and added that the department would publish further information in the course of its investigation.

“This is a tragic loss for our civil servants and for the family of this person,” said Andrews. “The officers are changed forever.”

The police said that the North Carolina Bureau of Investigation also examines the shootout.
