The Trump-Kushner Hotel project in Serbia hits a catch: alleged fake

The family in Serbia in Serbia, which is to be built on the site of a bombed Ministry of Defense, has an embarrassing complication. A key document on which the Serbian government is dependent on the submission of this deal was concluded, officials said this week.

Jared Kushner, the son-in-law of President Trump and his business partners, plan to build a luxurious residential and commercial complex on the grounds of the long-standing site, which is supposed to include a Trump International Hotel, the first in Europe.

The chairman of the Serbian agency, who admitted to the protection of cultural monuments from the authorities that he had fake a government document in which the former Yugoslav Ministry of Defense was demolished in Belgrade and replaced by the Trump Hotel.

The project won a preliminary approval of the Serbian government last year, even before the government officially revoked the protected historical status of the former Ministry of Defense, which was badly damaged during a bomb campaign in 1999 by the organization of the North Atlantic Treaty.

The Serbian government officials say that agency manager Goran Vasic invented an expert opinion in order to justify the government's decision to remove the location of his cultural heritage.

“Vasic has concluded a proposal for a decision to revoke the status of cultural property,” said the office of the public prosecutor for organized crimes in a statement.
