Carter Bryant von Arizona states that he will stay in the NBA -draft pool

With an up -and -coming NBA -draft shares, which indicates that he will not return to Arizona next season, striker Carter Bryant showed signs on Wednesday that he would stay in the Draft pool, but shortly before that to exclude a return to the wildcats.

During his media interview from NBA Combine in Chicago, wondered if he was still decided if he returned to Arizona, Bryant said: “Yes, I officially declared the draft, yes, sir.” Jeff Borzello from ESPN also quoted Bryant and said he was completely in the design.

The players must explain that the NBA design is invited to the NBA combine harvester and can withdraw later. NCAA rules allow the players to take up to 10 days after the combine harvester to withdraw if they want to return to College basketball, a period of May 28th of this year.

Bryant still has to make a final statement about whether he is leaving the wildcats and the Arizona coaches are still waiting for Bryant to inform them, since his absence would probably cause them to add at least another player for the next season. UA has 11 other players for 2025-26, but three of them sidi Gueye, Mabil Mawut and Bryce James-Gelten as development prospects.

Although Bryant only scored 6.5 points on average when he started five out of 37 games as a newcomer in 2024-25, he fascinated the NBA scouts by having the skills and size of a prototypical outstanding NBA wing. It measured 6-6.5 without shoes with a 6-11.75 wing span and recorded a maximum (running) vertical jump of 39.5 inches in the combine harvester.

Bryant was listed as No. 20 in ESPNS Mock NBA design from ESPN immediately after the 2024-25 season, but is now projected by ESPN to 14th place-and No. 10 both from the wrestler and the athletic.

A player who was selected in 10th place would receive a guaranteed two-year contract worth around $ 12 million as part of the Rookie salary scale of the NBA.

Bryant participates in the mandatory exercises, interviews and measurements in the NBA Combine this week, but does not play in the five against five scrimmages, which almost all picks skip in the first round.

During a part of his combat interview, which was recorded and distributed by Arizona, Bryant said on Wednesday that he had already met with Dallas, Golden State, Brooklyn, Portland and Minnesota and said his interviews with teams were significantly different.

“It was a lot of everything,” said Bryant. “I had teams in which I had to draw on a board and they wanted me to set up one or two games. I had teams in which they asked me more seriously. I had more informal conversations with some teams and I had teams in which I looked at the film almost exactly, and they wanted me to go through my thought process through the games.”

Bryant said he tried to be himself and at the same time make “mental notes” in the teams and people he meets, especially since managers in the league can go into the league as well as the players do.

“It's such a unique experience,” said Bryant. “Not many people have the opportunity to be here at all. I try to take advantage of the moment. To be able to go to the room, answer questions, to be authentic yourself, is a great experience.”

Wildcats to stand in the state of San Diego in Phoenix

According to College Hoops, the state of Arizona and San Diego will be an agreement for playing in Phoenix on December 20.

The Arizona officials have not confirmed the SDSU game, but confirmed that a game in Phoenix would be schedule next season. Arizona played Alabama and UCLA in Phoenix in the last two seasons, while the UA trainer Tommy Lloyd undertook to play there regularly.

A UA SDSU game would give the wildcats a sixth highly conference opponent in addition to Florida, Ucla, Uconn, Auburn and Alabama.

These six games will help Arizona compensate for the fact that it will not take part in a top multi-team event next season and will lose two potentially competitive BIG 12 games from the change of the conference from 20 to 18 games next season.

Arizona and Sdsu occasionally held in the last eleven seasons during the Lute Olson and Sean Miller for two years and only by chance: the wildcats defeated the Aztecs 87-70 in the semi-finals of the Aztecs in the last eleven seasons.

Arizona heads the all-time series with SDSU 25-7.
