Anthony Edwards joins NBA history in Warriors-Wolves Game 5

The Golden State Warriors had a good chance of entering the Western Conference final in their second round against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Although they would certainly not be an easy opponent, it would be difficult for the Timberwolves to master Steph Curry in its current form. However, they didn't have much opportunity to see him.

After Curry had lost thigh stamping in game 1, it has not seen the ground since then. The Timberwolves have the warriors on the edge of the excretion on Wednesday evening.

Edwards was just the sixth player in NBA history to cover up 1,000 career playoff points before he turned 24. Edwards only turns 24 in August and Kobe Bryant, Tony Parker, LeBron James, Kevin Durant and Jayson Tatum joins the only player.

What do all these players listed have in common? They all have at least one NBA championship in their name. If the Timberwolves are able to get ahead, they will prepare for a conference final against the Denver Nuggets or Oklahoma City Thunder.

While the expectations were high as he was a first selection, Edwards as a player in this league will continue to climb the ranking list if he can further advance the Timberwolves through the playoffs.
