Chicago Cubs Score and Summary (May 14, 200): Marlins 3, Cubs 1

The Cubs welcomed the Marlins on Wednesday evening with the chance to reach a three-game swey. In this case, Chicago simply couldn't get her bats going and the road team achieved a victory in the final.

In this one, Jameson Taillon continued to fight with the Homerun ball and gave Kyle Stowers a solo shot at the top of the 2nd inner. Augstín Ramírez and Stowers went deep deep again in the 4th to set Miami 3-0.

Marlin's starter Ryan Weathers was really good at his first start of 2025, but Seiya Suzuki brought him deep into the bottom of the 4th to cut the North Siders deficit to 3: 1. The cubs loaded the bases with two outs in the 6th, but came up empty.

Nico Hoerner excluded baskets in the 6th Inning against Calvin Faucher. It was pretty much the only chance to score the cubs of the night.

The line -up could not get anything going and the Taillon was burned by the long ball again.

• Kyle Tucker was the only young animal to reach twice with a double and a walk.

Conclusion

The Cubs still have problems with the end of the series and are now 2-5 if they play with the chance to secure a sweep. Tallion had a real Homerun problem in Chicago in his first season. So let's hope that it will not come back now. This is a frustrating loss, but you will be in good shape as long as you always win two games from three games.
