Family, friends speak out of Melissa Mendez after tragic death

Tucson, ariz. (13 messages) – the following The tragic death of 22-year-old Melissa Mendez, Friends and family continue to mourn and are looking for answers.

Understandably from Melissa's sudden and unexpected death with a broken heart.

You still have many questions about what has taken place, but it is an active examination and many questions have not yet been answered.

But they shared who was Melissa and how they want them to remember.

Melissa was a light for so many of her loved ones, including her cousin Melanie Chelis.

And while she and Melissa were related, she said they were really best friends.

“It was really difficult to deal with it,” said Melanie. “I'm still still, I didn't really let it sink, you know, the reality of the situation. It's still so new.”

Anayse Yslas, one of Melissa's friends, said her healing process has not really started because she cannot understand that Melissa was gone.

“I always hope that I can just pinch and wake up and only say that this was a very, very lively dream,” said Anayse. “But I can't grasp the thought that she is currently not at home.”

And while Chelis still cannot fully accept what happened, she will continue for Melissa's will.

“In any case, your memory will keep in life and this life will live twice,” said Melanie. “One for me, one for you, every time.”

All 13 messages spoke to Melissa as caring, fun -loving, compassionate person who are very miss.

Including Destiny Flores, a friend from Melissa's childhood. She said that if there is one thing she wants to remember, the beautiful person who was Melissa was.

“Her face, her beautiful face. Her name. I want people to remember the stories, everyone talks about them,” said Flores. “I want everyone to remember this case in general, hopefully to learn from it and prevent them in the future.”

Melissa's friends and family have concerns about her case and continue to look for answers what happened to her beloved person.
