Trump's Qatar -Jetskandal from Trump is an obvious betrayal of American values

President Donald Trump has again excited his elitist nose in the constitution and the American people by corresponding to a luxury Boeing $ 747-8 family of Qatar of Qatar's royal family. Trump characteristically shows contempt for rules and his inflated ego makes him believe that he is above the law. The White House claims that the plane is a gift to the Ministry of Defense, not to him personally, and that it is “shut down” in his presidential library after his term. Attorney General Pam Bondi, who may have connections to Qatar, insists that the deal is “legally permissible”. This is a thin apology and a transparent attempt to avoid the law.

Even if this agreement is considered legal, it ignores the broader effects: a 400 million dollar aircraft creates a strong incentive for the president of preferring Qatar and prioritizing his interests towards America. There has to be a certain degree of mutuality here, but somehow we don't yet know what it is. And that makes this “gift” so dangerous.

The conflict of interest goes even deeper when you consider that Trump already has a golf resort of 5.5 billion US dollars in Qatar. With Trump's visit to Qatar this week there is no way to know what happens behind the scenes and which offers are private. There are too many red flags here to assume that there is no counter -professional.

Democrats rightly sounded the alarm. Chuck Schumer, Chairman of Senate Mindfulness, mocked Trump's “America First” slogan on X and joked: “Nothing says 'America First' like Air Force One, which Qatar brought to them. It is not just bribe, it is first -class foreign influence with an additional legroom.” Schumer even threatened to block the appointment of the Ministry of Justice until the matter is cleared. MP Jamie Raskin emphasized that the consent of the congress was not negotiable for such a gift. Even right -wing extremist influencer Laura Loomer has spoken out against the move.

Of course, the security effects are worrying, although Trump does not seem to be worried. An aircraft of this size could easily have an impact on surveillance devices that would be difficult to recognize. The secret service would have to literally tear apart the entire plane to ensure its security. If nothing else, Trump's enthusiasm for the plane is a national security risk and raises even more questions about his judgment.

Trump's explanation for the preservation of the aircraft is childish and absurd. He claims that Boeing did not deliver a new air force on time and it would therefore be “stupid” to reject a free aircraft. Isn't Trump the type who fought against foreign influence in 2016? Didn't he attack the Clinton Foundation for far fewer sins?

Trump shows a complete disrespect for the office he holds, and by accepting the plane, he leaves his nose against the American people. This sets a dangerous precedent, since other nations will now try to shower the favor with expensive gifts with the president.

This is a big scandal, but it's not just about the plane. This is about a president who believes that the White House is his personal castle and America his personal fief. His zeal to accept such a gift is a blow to every American who believes in constitutional reviews, integrity in government and ethical norms.

The congress must act to block this business before it is too late. Otherwise, this plane is a symbol of Trump's corruption and lack of principles and is seen as a moral spot in America.
