White Scores 34 to help the Boston Celtics with 127-102 Game 5 victory against Knicks | News, sports, jobs

Boston (AP) -Drick White had 34 points, including seven 3 points, to lead the Boston Celtics to a 127-102 victory 5 against the New York Knicks on Wednesday evening, which they kept alive in the semi-finals of the Eastern Conference.

The Celtics combined with 22 3-converter to achieve their first home win of the series and the first without Jayson Tatum after his Achilles tendon injury at the end of the season.

The Knicks will try again to win the series Friday in New York. If the Celtics win, game 7 would be in Boston on Monday.

Jaylen Brown added 26 points and 12 templates. Luke Korket ended with 10 points, nine rebounds and seven blocks.

The Celtics only want to become the 14th team in NBA history, which comes back from a 3-1 deficit in 294 attempts.

Josh Hart led the Knicks with 24 points, although he left the game briefly late in the first quarter to close a bloody cut on the face after taking an unintentional elbow.

Jalen Brunson added 22 points before he was 7:19 to play in the game.

Boston struck nine points in the first half, but closed the third quarter with a 23:9 run and brought a lead of 91: 76 to the fourth. Brunson spent the final 2:45 of the third on the bench after taking his fifth foul.

The Celtics have recently kept it up and pushed their lead up to 28 points.

The game was very physical and included a short personal battle between hard and brown.

This energy transported offensive. The Celtics came out hot and got five 3s from white in the openings for 24 minutes and a total of 12.

But the Knicks held a lead of nine points, took eight 3 and scored 10 points of the second chance. Mitchell Robinson also converted all four of his free throwing attempts in the first half and set up the deliberate foul strategy that Boston had used with the series long.
