A woman cited after the crash with Chicago Police Vehicle, say officials, say officials

A woman was quoted and at least two people were hospitalized after an accident with a police vehicle in Chicago on Wednesday evening, the authorities said.

What we know:

The Chicago police say that the crash was taking place around 6:30 p.m. in the 5900 block of the South Racine Avenue in the Englewood district.

According to the police, a 32-year-old woman drove an SUV western direction in 59th Street. She entered a turning lane, but drove directly through the intersection and hit the passenger side of a CPD patrol car to the north on Racine. The police vehicle had its emergency lights activated.

At least one officer was brought to a small company of Mary Hospital in fair condition with injuries to the left shoulder and hand.

The woman was brought to the Medical Center of the University of Chicago in a fair state.

The police quote the woman for driving without a license, without insurance and not input for an emergency vehicle.

What we don't know:

Sources said Fox 32 that two children in the SUV were brought to the Comer Children's Hospital in a critical condition. They also said that a second officer had been taken to the hospital in fair condition. The Chicago police did not confirm this information.
