The Mexican Beauty Influencer shot to death during the TikTok Livestream

A Mexican Beauty Influencer was shot on Tuesday during a Tikok Livestream.

The prosecutor of the Mexican state Jalalco says that 23-year-old Valeria Marquez was killed in the beauty salon, where she worked in the city of Zapopan.

Just seconds earlier, Marquez was seen on Tikkok live, a soft toy held and said: “You are coming.”

A voice then called “Hey, Vale?”, What “Hey, Okay?”

Moments later she was shot.

Someone grabbed her phone and briefly showed his face on the live stream before it ended.

The public prosecutor did not name a suspect.

Marquez had almost 200,000 followers in Instagram and Tiktok.

She had previously said on the live stream that someone came to the salon when she wasn't there with an “expensive gift” to deliver to her.

She seemed to be worried and said that she was unable to wait for the person to come back.

Jalalco's prosecutor said in a statement on Tuesday that her death as a female was examined as a murder of women or girls due to gender.

Mexico, Paraguay, Uruguay and Bolivia share the fourth highest female rates in Latin America and in the Caribbean with 1.3 deaths per 100,000 women in 2023, according to the UN.
