Yoon, who rose dramatically from a top prosecutor to the presidency in about three years, became the second president of the nation, which was officially removed from office. His surprise law law had the nation for months and gives political polarization.

Before Yoon took the highest office in the nation, he started his career as a prosecutor in 1994 and rose through the ranks to lead a investigation team into the corruption scandal of Park, which ultimately led to her fall and subsequent detention.

In 2019 he was appointed the highest public prosecutor of the nation under the then South Korean President Moon Jae-in, but collided with the administration when he supervised the investigation against family members of the former Minister of Justice Cho Kuk.

In the middle of the increasing pressure of the moon administration, Yoon resigned from his post in 2021 to get politics shortly afterwards and to win the presidential election in 2022 as a candidate for the conservative power party.

Yoon's term of office was enforced with conflicts with a uncredance National Assembly dominated by the opposition Democratic Party (DP). Yoon practiced his veto power of the President against 25 legislative proposals, which were passed by the National Assembly.

The tensions with the DP seemed to achieve extremely at the beginning of December when the main opponents introduced applications to complain about the top economic auditor and a leading public prosecutor of the country, with Yoon declaring war law on December 3, which ultimately led to his downfall.
