Two arrests for a video of the Newport Schoolboy attack

Two arrests were made after a video was uploaded to social media how a student in Newport was attacked.

Gwent's police said it was made aware of the video on Wednesday evening, in which a student of the Lliswery High School was attacked by a group of children how he was held by a man.

The deputy chief Constable Vicki Townsend said that the arrested were in custody and the person identified in the video received support.

The school said that it was aware of the “serious incident” and would make sure that a complete investigation was carried out in cooperation with the police and the Newport Council.
