Jayson Tatum injury means that the NBA questions today's shoes great

Former NBA player Nick van Exel had a different attitude to Jayson Tatum injury.

Tatum painted an Achilles for the Boston Celtics against the New York Knicks at the beginning of this week. He is on the road after an operation in the rest of the season. Defending champion Celtics is equipped on Wednesday despite the winning of game 5.

After the Tatum injury, van Exel questioned the choice of shoe of today's player. He said too many carry low-tops.

Here is what Van Exel wrote on X: “There were Achilles tears, but my thoughts are that they are now more passing and I think it has something to do with them, dam that players wear today. Cover them with the ankles.”

Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson are other youngest stars who deal with Achilles injuries. In the 1980s and 90s it was more common for players to wear high-top shoes. Van Exel was moved in 1993 by the Los Angeles Lakers. He played 13 seasons and appeared in 1998 to his only all-star game.

When the fans questioned his attitude, Van Exel doubled in his comments.

He wrote about X: “I really believe that it is part of it. It has said for years. It has happened too much in the past 5-7 years and all players are wearing lows. I don't even know how they reach deep.”
