NBA playoffs: Haliburton's 'disrespectful' father Sparks Fracas as fate of the Pacers Seal Bucks | NBA

Giannis Antetokounmpo criticized Tyresie Haliburton's father into a heated confrontation as a result of the Bucks-Pacers playoff series.

Haliburton sealed the 4-1 win of the Pacers with a lay-up in overtime, which enabled them to win 119: 118 on Tuesday evening. In the following celebrations, Antetocounmpo said that Haliburton's father John turned to him and won a towel while he called: “This is what we do damn.”

“I believe in being humble in victory,” said Antetocounmpo after the game. “Many people out there who say no, if they win the game, you talk shit and it is a green light for you to be disrespectful to someone else. I do not agree.”

Haliburton was also dissatisfied with his father.

“I don't agree to what was going on there,” said Haliburton. “Basketball is basketball and let us keep it on the pitch. I think he was just excited, made his son a game winner and came on the pitch, but we had a conversation.

“He just has to allow me to play basketball and stay there, and I will come to him to celebrate. But the emotions of the game were excited there. I spoke to him. I will speak to Giannis. I don't think my pops were in the right at all.”

Antetocounmpo had a 30-point triple double double with 20 and 13 assisting when the goats in the first round of the playoffs had lost for the third time in a row and for the second time against the Pacers.

John Haliburton, who was basketball referee, later apologized for the incident on social media.

“I sincerely apologize to Giannis, the Milwaukee Bucks and the Pacers organization for my actions after today's game,” he wrote. “This was not a good reflection on our sport or my son, and I won't make this mistake again.”

Antetokounmpo was also involved in a fracas with the Bennedict Mathurin von Pacers after the game. The two hugged at first before Antetocounmpo laying his hand in Mathurin's neck and the two began to push each other.

In the other games on Tuesday evening, Jamal Murray broke out for 43 points and Russell Westbrook achieved 21 when he returned from an injury and triggered the victory of the Nuggets with 131: 115 against the Los Angeles Clipperm, who scored Denver in their series. The nuggets also received 23 from the hero 4 heroes Aaron Gordon and Nikola Jokić's 21st career playoff triple double of 18 points, 10 rebounds and 12 assists.

Elsewhere, Cade Cunningham had 24 points, eight rebounds and eight templates, and Detroit stayed alive in her first post-season appearance since 2019 by beating 5 York in game 5 of her first round. Ausar Thompson added 22 points, and Tobias Harris had 17 for the pistons who will have the chance to help in game 6 at home on Thursday evening. If you win that, the decisive game on Saturday would be back in the Madison Square Garden.

In the meantime, Jayson Tatum had 35 points, 10 assists and eight rebounds, and Boston withdrew after the Magic star Paolo Bancherero went to the bench with five fouls and defeated Orlando in game 5 of her playoff series in the first round to come to the semi-finals of the Eastern Conference. The defending NBA champions play either the kinks or the pistons in the second round. Franz Wagner scored 25 points, Banchero 19 and Wendell Carter Jr. 12 points and 10 rebounds for magic, who have not won a playoff series since Dwight Howard, Vince Carter and Trainer Stan Van Gundy, to the final of the Eastern Conference in 2010.
