Rockdale County Man is not guilty of the death of women by AIDS

A man from Rockdale County, who was accused of killing his wife by knowingly infected with HIV, did not guilty himself during a hearing on Thursday morning.

What we know:

Cleveland Brodie is charged with murder of his wife Denise Brodie's death, who died only two days after AIDS's diagnosis in 2022. Denise was treated for cancer when doctors found that she also had AIDS. The public prosecutor claims that her husband knowingly transferred the virus to her.

Brodie was initially charged with ruthless behavior in 2023, but after the pressure of the Denise family, the indictment was upgraded to murder.

What's next:

During the hearing, Brodie's defense lawyers expressed concerns about topics that were issued to the witnesses. However, the state refused to answer matters that go beyond the indictment and found that the leading public prosecutor was currently not in the city. The judge agreed to postpone other procedures, and a briefing is planned for Monday.
