Five things that can be seen in week 8 of the UFL season 2025

Since the beginning of 2025 UFL Season, St. Louis Battlehawks Head coach Anthony Becht prepared his team for the Matchup this weekend.

Becht built the Battlehawks to win a UFL title. St. Louis must have to dethones the current champion Birmingham Henungungen to do that. You have the opportunity to see whether you will be able to organize the stallions in the Dome in the America's Center on Saturday (1 a.m. ET on Fox and the Fox Sports app).

“You are the reigning champions. So if you want to be where you are, you have to take it,” said Becht.

The stallions won the first and only Matchup between these two franchise franchise companies last season in week 7 of the regular season. St. Louis did not make it to the championship game last year and lost against them San Antonio Brahmas In the XFL Conference Title Game, 25-15.

Since both teams were 5: 2 and were connected to the leadership at their respective conferences, the game on Saturday could tend to preview this year's championship. The Battlehawks hope to play in this one, with the excited competition takes place in St. Louis. However, Becht understands that there is still a lot to do.

“We know how good Birmingham is, but we are also a good team,” said Becht. “You also have to take care of us, so it will be a great matchup.”

Elsewhere, the Brahmas (1-6) start things by organizing them Memphis show boat (1-6) on Friday (8 p.m. ET on Fox and the Fox Sports app). On Saturday, the Michigan Panthers (5-2) step on the way to face it Houston Rougnecks (3-4) In a game that is also broadcast in addition to stallion bed leews at the same time (1 a.m. ET on Fox and the Fox Sports app).

Things come to an end DC defender (5-2) hosting of the Arlington Renegades (3-4) on Sunday (Noon et).

Here is a closer look at five things you should watch in week 8:

Since Birmingham's start-quartersback McGough suffered a separate shoulder in week 2 in week 2, this week has returned to training and gave head coach Skip Holtz a difficult decision to start with St. Louis in an all-important competition with enormous post-season effects.

The start of the last week, Case Cookus, could not end the game due to an injured elbow on his throwing arm. Cookus also cultivated a Balky knee and was limited in practice this week.

Smith, who led Birmingham to a USfl title in 2022, subste cookus and helped a comeback win over Houston in week 7. Backup QB Andrew Peasley returned to training this week after a knee injury in week 6.

The stallions left Jalen Morton to make room for McGough. Holtz says he is wearing four QBs on the squad this week because he does not know who is healthy enough to play, but Smith will start against the Battlehawks. “The only healthy guy I just have is J'Mar Smith,” said Holtz. “He is currently the healthiest quarterback and gives us the best chance to win.”

2. QB Troy Williams Start for show boats

The quarterback Carousel set out again for Memphis when interim head coach Jim Turner made the decision to start against Brahmas this weekend. Williams split the time with EJ Perry to start the year.

The Utah product played in three games, started and completed 16 out of 27 passes for 180 yards, without touchdowns and intercept. Perry will serve as a backup and chest of drawers Winns, which has started the last three games, but this week missed the practice time with a knee injury, the third string quarters will serve as the third quarters.

Due to a calf problem, the show boats are also traced back without a WES Hills. For San Antonio, the star, the Anthony McFarland (shoulder) and the recipient Mathew Sexton (Hamstring) run back.

3 .. UFLS leading tackler Frank Ginda For the year with shoulder injury out

Michigan has to have to play the rest of the season without his leading Tackler after Ginda was put on IR due to a violation of the left shoulder. Ginda leads the league with 61 combined duels, including four duels for losses and 2.5 sacks.

The Panthers have already lost the UFL defensive player of the year of the year in Edge Rusher Breeland when he was placed on IR with an unadorned injury.

However, the Panthers returned an explosive playmaker, with Matt Colburn returning to the active squad after five games because of a shoulder problem. To make room, the Panthers did without Jaden Sheridan, who was claimed by the Brahmas.

4. WR Jacob Harris return to the campaign for San Antonio

Speaking of Brahmas, one of the leading recipients of the team will return to the campaign this week. The Big-Bodied Pass Catcher Harris returned to the active squad this week after the 7th week due to a foot injury.

A selection of the fourth round through the Los Angeles Rams in the NFL design of 2021 spent two seasons in LA and a year at the Jacksonville Jaguars. Harris leads San Antonio with 247 increase with 15 receptions with an average of 16.5 yards per catch.

Kevin Hogan will start his third start at the quarterback in San Antonio. The Brahmas also forego safety -bopete key this week (thigh).

5. Battlehawks Defensive coordinator Donnie Abraham to coach son Micah Abraham

St. Louis signed a well -known face in the list and gives the defensive backfield with the addition of Micah Abraham depth. As the selection of the sixth round by the Indianapolis Colts last season, he was cut during the last squad cuts. He spent part of the 2024 season with the Cincinnati Bengals in the training team and signed a contract with the team in January. However, he was released by the Bengals this week.

The 24 -year -old Micah Abraham ended during his college career at Marshall with 150 combined duels and 12 interceptions. He joins a defense in St. Louis, which only allows a touchdown in the last two games. To make room on the list, the Battlehawks did without LB Olakunle Fatukasi.
