Celtics injury report: Kristapaps Porzingis not listed for game 6 against Knicks

The Celtics will all have Jayson Tatum, as they compete against the Knicks for game 6 on Friday. Only after his Achilles injury was listed in game 4 of the series in the injury report at the end of the season. The C's want to climb out of their 3-2 series deficit and force a game 7 in their home square.

Remarkably, Kristaps Porzingis is not listed in the injury report despite his latest illness. The big man started victory 5 against the Knicks, but did not play in the second half when he saw from the bank. C -trainer from C, Joe Mazzulla, explained why Porzingis was the rest of the victory.

“He couldn't breathe,” said Mazzulla. “So he was absolutely necessary. So that was just a decision between me and him. He had difficulty breathing, but he wanted to be out there. And if we absolutely needed him, we could have gone to him and rely on him.”

Porzingis fought on the pitch in his 12 minutes and put on a point, a rebound and a block when he scored a minus-12. It was clear that he couldn't be productive at the court. Mazzulla confirmed this with the update to his status. The great man was significantly stuck through his illness in the entire series, as the Celtics have to make a decision about the talented great man in his season.

It is unclear how much Porzingis can give Friday, which is another elimination game for the Celtics. The disease also sounds as if he doesn't know how he will feel on a certain day. After game 4, in which Porzingis had to fight again, he actually had a positive update when it came to his illness. Then he was unfortunately not effective in game 5 only two days later.

“Tonight was the first time that I honestly felt properly,” said Porzingis after game 4.

The Celtics blown the Knicks in game 5 at home to force a game 6 that will play in Madison Square Garden on Friday at 8 p.m. The Celtics impressed throughout the victory when Jaylen Brown, Derrick White and Luke Kornet were leading after Tatum's injury. But the Knicks will play with despair if they want to progress for the first time in 25 years for the east final.
