Tornado warning for Minneapolis published

A tornado warning was issued and lifted for the U -Bahn area of ​​the Twin Cities on Thursday afternoon.

The warning came when a Tornado clock in the very central -Minnesota and in the northwest of Wisconsin until 8 p.m.

The sirens were heard in downtown Minneapolis in downtown Minneapolis around 2.30 p.m. in downtown Minneapolis.

The floor station also forced nine planes to Twin Cities to temporarily land at other airports, said Lea.

According to the National Weather Service, the Tornado watch includes 35 counties in Minnesota, including the U -Bahn area of ​​the Twin Cities, and 20 counties in Wisconsin. Overall, the affected area extends to the border of the North Dakota and the border from North Dakota to La Crosse.

Other cities in the affected area are Brainerd, Hinckley, St. Cloud, Morris, Willmar and Red Wing in Minnesota and Hayward, Rice Lake and Eau Claire in Wisconsin.

A tornado was reported near Spring Hill, Minnesota, west of St. Cloud. There were no reports on damage.
