Wanted criminal streams suspect who were arrested for Wild East Bay Chase

A wild chase and a suspect during busy commuting on Thursday morning in East Bay has attracted the attention of at least five law enforcement authorities.

The incident began shortly before 8 a.m. when a police officer in Richmond came across an Infiniti near South 22nd Street and Florida Avenue. The police said the driver decreased.

The suspect of many agencies wanted

What we know:

The suspect identified as 18-year-old David Charette was sought by several agencies in connection with a stroll with robberies, carjackings and house invasions.

Matt Stonebraker, Richmond's police, said the suspect suddenly braked on the city's streets, “reversed his vehicle and rammed into one of our officers. Then he pulled forward and rammed another police vehicle that was occupied by two of our officials.”

Charette then entered the Interstate 580 to the east and reached speeds of more than 100 miles per hour. The chase continued to Berkeley, where traffic cameras conquered the suspect with the Autobahn shoulder to avoid heavy traffic. He left the Ashby Avenue with two Richmond police vehicles, which then entered the opposite direction in the highway.

The California Highway Patrol and the police from Berkeley were informed about the chase.

Charette supposedly slammed into an Audi who entered the highway from Buchanan Street in Albany and deactivated his vehicle.

“The suspect ran into the back of an uninvolved driver and the [suspect’s] The vehicle was disabled, “said Stonebraker.” At that time, the officials were able to bring him into custody. “

Charette and an officer suffered minor injuries during the arrest. The infiniti was later towed with the support of CHP.

The Albany police also reacted to the scene.

The car innocent driver hit by suspects

What you say:

The woman who drove the Audi said KTVU that her SUV was probably totally overall, but she was grateful that nobody was seriously injured and noticed that she had already dropped her children at school.

She said that she supported the actions of the officials in the arrest of the suspect.

Now several law enforcement agencies – including Richmond, Berkeley and East Bay Regional Park, are interested in the construction of cases against the suspect.
