Mexico demands compensation from YouTube Star Mrbeast according to Pyramid chocolate video | Mexico

Mexico requests compensation from the production company of YouTube Celebrity Mrbeast and accuses them of using pictures of the country's old archaeological sites in order to promote a chocolate brand.

A video of the social media star who visits Maya ruins has been viewed on YouTube around 60 m times since May 10, where he has 395 million subscribers.

In the video entitled “I have researched 2,000 years old temple”, the influencer researches the old Maya cities such as Calakmul and Chichén Itzá in southeast Mexicos.

“I cannot believe that the government would do this to us,” he said, after entering a pyramid, which was criticized by several users who complained that Mrbeas had access to Mexicans.

On Wednesday, Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum applied for the conditions under which YouTuber was granted access.

In the video, the celebrity also advertises his own brands naks and calls it “Maya permits”, which leads to an official complaint by the National Institute of Archeology and History.

While Mexico is “pleased that Youtubers and all young people in the world appreciate the value of our indigenous civilizations”, it condemns “those who use advantages”, the institute wrote in a social media post.

Approval to the Full Circle Media production company “did not approved the use of the image of the archaeological website for advertising commercial brands for private profit,” she added.

Mexico is “compensation for damage and a public retreat due to the non -compliance with the conditions,” it said.

In Mérida, the capital of the state of Yucatán, in which Chichén Itzá is located, several residents expressed their disapproval of access to the YouTuber.

“Limits and regulations should apply to everyone: domestic tourists, foreign visitors and US home,” said tour guide Jose Elias Aguayo, 53.
