Tornado Watch for more than half of Lower Michigan, gusts on 80 miles per hour, golf ball size fallen

A Tornado watch now comprises a little more than the western half of Lower Michigan. This is a large Tornado watch area due to a long series of heavy thunderstorms that move through the lower Michigan between 9:00 p.m. and 3 a.m.

The Storm Prediction Center says that some tornadoes are possible, together with isolated high-end wind gusts of up to 80 miles per hour. Isolated, very large hail is also possible with diameters of up to two inches.

The Tornado clock runs until Friday at 3 a.m.

The Storm Prediction Center says: “Intensive thunderstorms will spread in a large part of the lower Michigan in eastern north and overnight and at the same time represent a threat to scattered heavy/harmful winds. Peak bus can reach up to 70 to 80 MPHs. A pair of tornados can also occur in convection. A large hail will occur in every embedded super cell.”
