Tilda Swinton to play in David Lowery's “Death in her hands” to play

David Lowerery has a new film in the works with Tilda Swinton Set to play.

“Death in her hands” – described as a “anarchic whodunnit” and “a psychological thriller” – is adapted by Lowery (“A ghost story”, “The Green Ritter”) from the cult novel by Ottessa Moshfegh (“My Year of Rest and relaxation”).

Sees-Saw films, the Oscar winner behind “The Power of the Dog”, “The King's Speech” and “One Life” (and on the television front “Slow Horses” and “Heartstopper”) are on board.

In “Death in her hands”, while you are walking near your new house in the forests, the youngest widow Vesta Gul (Swinton) comes across a terrifying handwritten note: “Your name was Magda. Nobody will ever know who killed her. I am not. Here is her body.” Unless there is no body. No blood. Gul is not armed with a camera, her dog Charlie and her lively imagination and is obsessed with the uncovering of Magda's identity and fate. As the Synopse is: “When your inner world begins to cover up reality, the secret of Magda Vestas reached for her own life – until we can see in a fascinating opera climax that Magda's death could finally allow Vesta to live.”

The film is produced by Iain Canning, Emile Sherman and Jeanie Igoe. Performing producers are Simon Gillis and Ann Phillips. Cross City films, See-Saw's internal sales branch, work with WME independent to ensure financing in Cannes.

“I am a devoted fan of Ottessa Moshfegh, and the opportunity to translate” death in your hands “into the big screen was in a way an interruption to spend a lot of time to be obsessed with your prose. But now the trick is on!” Lowery said, currently in the post about “Mother Mary”.

“The script, which was created by the novel, will soon become a film, and I am suddenly more aware of the fact that the adaptation of this special work is a cherished challenge (everyone who has read the novel will understand why)! But I am ready for it and am encouraged to have wonderful employees on my side: the entire team of See-Saw, Jeanie, and the incredible stories, the incredible stories Idlible-Sway-Swinton Swinton Swinton Swinton Swinton Swinton-Swinton-i-Swinton, he can do what I can do with the stories in which OTH-Stays-Stys-Stys-Stys-Stys-Stys-Stys-Stys-Stys-Stys-Swint-Wint-Wint-Wint-swounds, and what I can do in the areas of The Way Sway-Swinton-Swinton Swint Swint-Wint-Wint-Swinton. “

The producers Canning and Sherman added: “David Lowery is a master of striking, atmospheric stories, and there is no one better to bring Ottessa Moshfegh's urgent and brilliant novel on the screen. We can hardly wait to enter the audience that he creates and is played by Vesta's stories.

Swinton is resumed by Hamilton Hoddell, Caa and Peikoff Mahan. Lowery is resumed by WME and Victoria Cook in Frankfurt Klein & Selz.
