Steelers publish Ryan Watts after an injury at the end of the career end

Pittsburgh-Die Pittsburgh Steelers released Ryan Watts Ryan Watts 2024 on Monday 2024 after ending a neck injury at the end of the season in the last pre-season game of his rookie year.

“We all agree that it is in Ryan's interest to play football at this time,” said General Manager of Steelers, Omar Khan. “We will continue to support Ryan if he passes into this next phase of his life.”

Khan said the decision was made after consultation with team doctors, medical experts and representatives of Watts.

Watts' injury, which occurred on August 24 against the Detroit Lions, was initially diagnosed as a stinger and he was put in the end of the season shortly afterwards. He also seemed to be operated on and in January to publish a picture of himself in a hospital bed with a neck bracket to his Instagram story.

“This was easily one of the hardest years of my life,” Watts wrote about the post in January. “Through serious injuries and everything I will remain optimistic because I can do all things through him. Get away to recovery …”

The defender spent two years in the state of Ohio before moving to Texas to his last two college. He ended his college career with 100 tackles and three interceptions.
