Troop 2 Collision reconstruction Unit examines a fatal accident with two vehicles in Newark – Delaware State Police

The Delaware State Police further examines William Blevins from Newark, Delaware, died of injuries suffering from the crash.

On May 10, 2025, a Gray 2013 RAM 150 drove south on Sunset Lake Road, north of Broadleaf Drive in Newark. The preliminary investigation shows that a Brown 2017 Honda Accord may have drove south on the Lake Road on Sunset Lake Road. For the reasons determined, the Honda supposedly tried to make a broad turn to the north of Sunset Lake Road. As a result, the Honda entered the ram when it turned the left curve and collided the 2 vehicles.

The Honda driver, identified as William Blevin, was taken to a hospital for serious injuries. On May 12, 2025Blevins died of injuries suffering from the crash. His family and relatives were notified.

The driver of the ram, a 60-year-old man from Bear, Delaware, was not injured.
