Heavy thunderstorm for southern Maryland and the surrounding area

South Maryland – The National Weather Service has published a severe thunderstorm for a large part of the region, including Southern Maryland, the District of Columbia and the surrounding counties, until Friday evening at 10 p.m.

The prognostics warn of potentially dangerous conditions because it is expected that several strikers will sweep through the area throughout the entire afternoon and evening. The primary threats include harmful gusts of wind that reach up to 60 miles per hour, and isolated event of great hail.

The watch, which was officially referred to as a serious storm guard 263, comprises 15 counties in Maryland, including St. Mary's, Calvert, Charles, Prince George and Anne Arundel. The residents are asked to monitor local forecasts, to secure outdoor objects and to remain aware of potential warnings.
