Kyffin Simpson crashes, falls almost during the quick training run on Fast Friday

Shortly after the Indy 500 training on Fast Friday, the Indycar driver Kyffin Simpson lost control and plunged his chip Ganassi Racing Honda on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway against the wall.

And in a miraculous way, he was able to go away from the debris soon and give an interview.

Although Simpson is safe, the crash was terrifying. His car started to turn in a curve after a wobble. Then he fell against the wall and went in the air.

As the announcers mentioned when they observed the repetition of the crash, these IndyCar journeys should design so that cars in the air go up in the air in which they completely turn around. Design features, such as additional holes in the floor of the car, seem to have paid off here.

The car no. 8 drove in the air and turned, but not completely over. Instead, it landed on the side before it was upright.

“Due to physics, they thought that the car would go on, but the progress that Indycar made on the ground of these cars were definitely there,” James Hinchcliffe, analyst by Fox Sports Indycar.

And Fox Sports Indycar Play-by-Play analyst Will Buxton pointed out that 20-year-old Simpson is a “happy boy”.

But here too it is all of design.

“I'm quite good, praise the Lord,” said Simpson after the crash to Fox Sports Pit Reporter Georgia Henneberry. He also said that “it is a difficult way to start fast Friday.”

Simpson mentioned that it was “a strange crash, everything was strange” before explaining that “even something wasn't entirely right even from the surrounding area”. Simpson continued and said: “It never felt the way I expected it.”

Simpson's team has now cut out their work for them because they are trying to recognize why No. 8 wobbles and turned into the wall, how it did and why it didn't really feel like Simpson.

“We go back, look at some data, try to find out what may have been wrong, and try to ensure that it does not happen again.”
