A training base of the Royal Navy was “locked up” because of revenge porn in the latest sex scandal to rock the senior service.

Navy Chiefs ordered a communication blackout from HMS Raleigh to stop x-rated pictures of a recruit that became viral.

Hundreds of newcomers – including some to 16 and 17 – were ordered to hand over their phones.

In a message to her parents it says: “Social transactions are made to the parents of the U18-year-olds to say that their recruits are okay, but the basis is due to an ongoing police examination for communication control.”

The marine warned the parents that the blackout – known as River City State – could take up to 96 hours.

The sun understood that two recruits in HMS Raleigh in Torpoint, Cornwall, were in a relationship before entering the navy.

A source of the Navy said to The Sun: “You had joined your separate income and when the young woman came up, some time after her former partner, she discovered that intimate pictures had been shared without her consent on the base.

“At that time, her former partner had already left the navy. He never completed the training.

“Only one person is examined. No other recruits are suspected of misconduct.”

The Royal Navy said: “The well -being of our recruits is our top priority, and there was a restriction of the use of mobile phones for a short time.

“A civilian police investigation has not yet been completed.”

The incident takes place days after the most high -ranking officer of the Navy, First Sea Lord Admiral Sir Ben Key, was suspended because of a suspected matter, and the captain of the warship HMS Tyne, LT CDR Martyn Mayger, was stripped by command, since the claims of “unacceptable sexual behavior” were claimed.
