Cooper Flagg has reportedly interviewed Celtics at NBA Draft Combine in the middle of MAVS rumors

Cooper Flagg's hometown team sees him a look before the NBA design of 2025.

During the Friday sequence of The Kevin O'Connor ShowKevin O'Connor from Yahoo Sports reported that the Boston Celtics interviewed both Flagg and top priceless people Tre Johnson before June's design.

O'Connor said that the interviews do not necessarily signal that the team will exchange in the design, but recognized the decision as “interesting”.

The Celtics should currently select 28th place in the first round.

Flagg is projected as No. 1 and Johnson as No. 5 selection in the design by Jonathan Wasserman by Bleacher Report 2025. Apart from a trade or an unprecedented fall, it is very unlikely that the Celtics will be able to choose one of the two players.

However, the Celtics will probably have to give a certain salary in the off -season to avoid a severe second apron. This could include several role players or potentially an important impact player.

If the team examines the latter, the compensation can include an early selection in the first round. Since teams like the San Antonio Spurs and Houston Rockets may buy early picks, Boston could give a way to take a step.
