Snowmobile crash complaint between Goss and Michigan DNR near the negotiation date

Upper Michigan (WLUC) – A man's complaint against the Michigan DNR after a fatal snow crash is waiting for a negotiation date.

On February 26, 2018, Mark Goss drove a snowmobile when he collided with DNR Ranger Roy Pederson, which a crash on the Algonquin Ski Trail and Trail 8 near Sault Ste. Marie.

Pederson drove a supply vehicle.

“It killed the DNR officer Mr. Pederson, sadly and seriously injured, killed and burned our client Mark Goss, including but not limited to burning his hands and fingers,” said Johnson.

After the crash, Goss submitted a lawsuit against the DNR before the Court of Ruthless Disregard for Security and Grand Navigation.

Goss drove on the Algonquin Ski Trail and Pederson was on Trail 8. Trail 8 has a stop sign.

The lawyer of Goss, Ven Johnson, says Pederson is to blame.

“The DNR officer literally ran the stop sign and entered the snowmobile path that my customer went down,” said Johnson.

The DNR claimed that Goss voluntarily drove a snowmobile on one track, the inherent risks knew.

Court documents show that the DNR claims the immunity of the government, a legal doctrine that protects state companies from legal proceedings.

According to the DNR, Pederson performed his tasks as a trail groomer at the time of the crash.

In the statement, Pederson's supervisor said Pederson was an exemplary employee.

He explained that
