Two killed in the frontal accident of Winona County

Fremont township, Minn. (KTTC) – A man of Pine Island was one of three people who were involved in a fatal collision at the Interstate 90 on Friday afternoon.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the 83 -year -old Hadley Thompson drove west when his vehicle drove to the eastern lanes of the divided highway and collided with another vehicle.

Thompson died of his on -site injuries near the Lewiston exit in Winona County.

The driver of the vehicle in the east, Warren Hacker, 70, from Appleton, Wisconsin, was also killed in the crash. A passenger in his vehicle, Patricia Hacker, 71, was brought to the Mayo Clinic Hospital in St. Marys with life -threatening injuries.

The state patrol reported that all three people wore seat belts.

Not a word about what led to the collision that happened around 3:30 p.m. and slowed down the traffic in the region.

Near Lewiston, Minn. (KTTC) – The law enforcement authorities react to a traffic accident near the Lewiston exit on Interstate 90 in east.

The Minnesota State Patrol alerts the drivers to crash via Minnesota 511. Backups are reported near the exit 242.
