Traffic on Interstate 35 near Wyoming is back to normal after a multi-vehicle crash on Friday afternoon caused a huge backup for the drivers for almost two hours.

Around 4:33 p.m., the Sheriff's office of the Chisago County said that the I-35 lanes were closed to the north until further due to a crash with several vehicles north of the Wyoming exit.

“Possible sightings of loose horses also at the scene of the crime, which the chaos contribute,” said the Sheriff's office.

The Minnesota State Patrol said

A car was hit by a truck with a trailer that was hit by another truck with a horse trailer. Another car was also involved.

The State Patrol said it all started when a vehicle was cut in front of traffic and caused a top -up with several vehicles.

A driver had minor life -threatening injuries, but nobody else was injured, said State Patrol. The horse trailer had three dogs and five horses, and all animals were unharmed.

A person of the traffic management of Minnesota Department of Transportation seemed to show a person who drove a cattle trailer past the traffic jam for unknown reasons.
