“Everyone loved him.” Brownsville Mann family who were killed in hit-and-run birthday guard

Family and friends of a man from Brownsville, of whom the police say, was raised on Friday to celebrate what would have been his 73rd birthday.

The police say that Larry Maxwell crossed the Sutter Avenue near Osborn Street on Saturday evening when a raging driver hit another vehicle. According to the police, this vehicle hit Maxwell.

The driver started before the police arrived.

The police say that Maxwell died later in the Brookdale Hospital.

The relatives said that news 12 Maxwell was a friend, grandfather and much more. They heard the meeting of a play list of Maxwell's favorite songs, hugged each other and published balloons in his memory.

Larry's eldest brother John Maxwell told News 12 that it was an unimaginable loss.

“Everyone loved him … everyone needed something, they would give them. That is the kind of person he was. He loved everyone,” said John Maxwell.

The NYPD says that no arrests were made on Friday evening.
