Little Rock Catholic Scores in the last seconds, continues with 1-0 victory over Rogers to the semi-finals

Bentonville – Aaron Estrada admitted that he had a feeling of urgency when he culminated at the scoreboard, and it seemed as if the Match by Little Rock Catholic was heading for extension.

However, the senior striker stopped this on Friday morning and did little time to save.

Estrada was in front of the goal and remained with 18.5 seconds to give the Rockets (15-2-1) a 1-0 quarter-final victory over Rogers during the class 6a football tournament in the Tiger Athletic Complex.

“I knew that I had to do something quickly if we didn't want to have any additional time,” said Estrada. “Fortunately, there was a chance and I had to score.

“My friend Cole (Harrington), he got it and tried to put it in. It went over and I was only there. I just hit it as hard as possible – only what I always do.”

Sam Heard began the last minute heroic heroism for Catholic, the top seeds of the 6A headquarters when he drove past two Rogers players and kicked the ball towards Harrington, which was stationed near the right side of the goal. Harrington then pushed the ball back into the middle of the network, where Estrada defeated two defenders for the goal.

“Throughout the game, we created a few chances that were unlucky to miss,” said Catholic coach Ryan Lawrence. “And (Rogers) also had football with football and created many good chances. We were just lucky enough to survive and come forward.

“I know that we usually use a lot of players in the game. When it developed and we could continue to put on the players, we were still half -fresh. We were in a pretty good position, and this is the space we ask in Aaron, especially if we attack.
