Woman who broke into several houses in Utah on Mother's Day in several houses in Utah

American Fork, Utah-the Mother's Day was affected by a number of burglaries for neighbors in American Fork and Pleasant Grove. Several homeowners went to social media to share their concerns and tips that the police finally helped to track down the woman who blame them.

But even after an arrest has been made, the neighbors are still nervous.

On Sundays there are often a day to relax and Brooke Hutchings certainly thought that her mother's day was.

“I had returned home from Vernal after being gone for the weekend,” said Hutchings. “Came up, began to unpack, put down for a nap.”

Until she learned about burglaries in the neighborhood on Monday. After checking her ring camera, she saw a woman ran to her own front door around 3:30 p.m. Minutes later, while Hutchings was on the upper floor, the woman found a way through an unexpected side door.

The woman was caught in front of the camera, who went through Hutching's refrigerator and cupboards, cut off hot dogs and fed dogs from the Hutchings before he didn't go.

“It's just strange,” said Hutchings. “She didn't take the medication out of her closet. She didn't take the knife. My handbag was on the table.

“Did she exhaust the neighborhood so that someone comes back?”

What Adam and Amanda Nielsen put together shows that it was a possibility.

“We have pretty much in front of the camera when she entered the neighborhood until she goes,” said Adam.

Adam made all the surveillance videos he could find, a timeline that showed that the woman moved through the neighborhood in just 30 minutes. 15 of them in the Nielsen house.

“We have just seen how they walk all the way through our house,” said Amanda Nielsen. “We see them below when they open the bedroom doors of our children.”

The Nielsens gathered the worrying evidence and helped the 48-year-old Roxanne Cagle by Elk Ridge to help the American Fork police on Thursday.

Court documents show that Cagle has numerous earlier burglar costs and was convicted three times: 2007, 2012 and 2018.

However, officers said Fox 13 News that Cagle was looking for bond shortly after her arrest, which is why the residents were concerned.

“I slept well last night, but I'm not going to be tonight,” said Hutchings.

The police admit that the incidents are “absolutely alarming” and note that they can pursue improved fees in view of the history of Cagle. The neighbors certainly hope that the threat has disappeared, but they will keep their guard and doors closed.

“Unfortunately, we have to lock ourselves up in our houses now,” said Hutchings. “I didn't do that that day to check all the doors. Everything else was closed except for one door, and she found it.”

Cagle is currently facing two cases of burglary in an apartment in American Fork and an additional burglary fee in Pleasant Grove. Your court date has not yet been determined.
