2 injured in the event of a serious single car accident on the I-395 in Bangor

The Maine State Police examined a serious accident with a vehicle that took place on Friday around 8:45 p.m. on the I-395 in Bangor.

According to Shannon Moss, the spokesman for the Ministry of Public Security in Maine, the crash occurred when the 23 -year -old Devon Ireland from Bangor drove a 1992 Miata Miata near Mile Marker 1.

Ireland did not make it and lost control of the car, which went over the guardrail and turned on the head in both lanes in the east.

A passenger, Lauren McCann, 23, from Bangor, who seemed that he had not worn a seat belt, was ejected from the vehicle and suffered life -threatening injuries. Ireland also suffered serious injuries.

Both were brought to the Northern Light Eastern Mainical Center.

Part of the I-395 was closed on Friday evening after the crash.

It is believed that speed and alcohol have contributed to factors, the police said.
