Three brought to the hospital after the chain reaction crash on the Highway 55

Buffalo (Wjon News) – A chain reaction accident in Buffalo between four vehicles sent three people to the hospital on Thursday. The Minnesota State Patrol says around 1:08 p.m. Edgar Belland was stopped on a red light on the western Highway 55 when he was hit by an SUV that also drove to the west on the Highway 55 and was driven by 60-year-old Thomas Ponsford by Annandale.

Belland's truck was then forced into a van that was driven by 52-year-olds Jason Nelson From Cokato, who then came to a second SUV that was driven by the 33-year-old Erik Haines by Maple Grove. Both Grove and Nelson drove west at the time of the crash on the Highway 55.

Belland and Ponsford were brought to the Buffalo Hospital with non -life -threatening injuries. A passenger in Belland's Truck, 87-year-old Karen KauppiWas also brought to the Buffalo Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Nelson and Haines were not injured in the crash.
