Real Madrid signs Spain defender Dean Huijsen from Bournemouth

Associated Press

Madrid (AP) – Real Madrid signed the highly rated Spain defender Dean Huijsen from Bournemouth in his first reinforcement of the low season on Saturday.

The 20-year-old Huijsen signed a five-year contract by June 2030, said the Spanish power plant. Madrid activated the player's 50 million pound ($ 66.4 million) to sign it, said Bournemouth.

Huijsen is a born in Dutch, ball game center, which joined the Juventus Premier League season last year last year, by £ 12.5 million (now $ 16.6 million). Since he broke into the team in November, he has been a regular guest for Bournemouth.

Huijsen “played a major role in the club's record campaign, in which Andoni Iraola's team has already broken their highest points in the Premier League,” said Bournemouth.

He impressed so much that he received a call from Spain for the Nations League playoffs in March, in the first leg against the Netherlands a replacement against the Netherlands and then started with the second leg.

Huijsen was insured on the ball and a good reader of the game and had been associated with some of the biggest teams of the Premier League in the past few months, including Liverpool and Arsenal, so that it was increasingly inevitable in summer to lose the high defender – but to make a big prize in the process.

Madrid has to rebuild a defense after several injuries to her backline during a trophy-free campaign 2024-25.

Huijsen will stay with Bournemouth at his remaining two games this season before traveling to Madrid.
