Man who was arrested for negligent murder after a fatal pedestrian accident in Hawaii Island

Puna (Hawaiinewsnow) – The Hawaii County police arrested a man because he had a vehicle under the influence of a intoxicant and due to negligent murder after a fatal pedestrian accident on Friday.

The 30 -year -old Dallas Brooks was arrested on Friday evening after meeting Maxwell Robertson Sherword (21) in Kurtistown.

After the police, Brooks was traveling in an SUV area on Orchidland Drive near the intersection of 36th Avenue at around 7.20 p.m. when he scored Sherwood.

At the time of the crash, the police said that Sherwood was on the street and not on a marked zebra crossing.

Officials said a witness told the police that other vehicles had swiveled not to meet a man who was in the middle of the street.

Sherwood was brought to the Hilo Benioff Medical Center, where he later died.

The police ordered an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.

Brooks was not injured due to the crash.

The examination continues, but the police believe that alcohol is a factor for the crash.
