Top Commander emphasizes the progress of the Navy, says that IRGC builds the rocket boat at a speed of 116 knots

Tehran – A top commander of the Iranian Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) says that Iran is now building a rocket boat that is able to reach speeds of 116 knots (215 km/h), and mark a new milestone in the country's naval levels.

The announcement was made on Wednesday during a ceremony to commemorate the National Persian Golf Day by Irgc Navy Commander counteradmiral alireza tangsiri.

Tangsiri praised the speedboat as proof of the growing self -sufficiency of Iran in military technology and found that it had successfully passed all technical and operational tests. “We have built this high-speed rocket boat itself-it is quick, advanced and fully functional,” he said.

National Persian golf day, which was observed annually at ordinary 10 in the Persian calendar every year [April 30]marked the historical expulsion of Portuguese armed forces from the Hormuz street in 1622. Tangsiri took the opportunity to emphasize Iran's maritime progress since the Islamic Revolution of 1979, and contrasted it with pre -revolutionary dependence on foreign contractors.

“Before the revolution, we couldn't even build a fishing boat. Now we have built the Shahid Soleimani war ship with the latest technology, which are able to sail 5,000 nautical miles without interruption over oceans,” he said.

The Persian Gulf, which is limited from Iran in the north and connected to the sea of Oman and the Indian Ocean on the street of Hormuz, is one of the most important energy and trade corridors in the world. Contemporary Admiral Tangsiri emphasized the strategic and economic weight of the region and pointed out that over 60% of the oil in the region and 40% of its gas export carry out through these transit.

He also claimed that the Iranian side of the Persian golf contains the deepest coastal and most efficient maritime routes and confirmed the regional role of Tehran when securing this decisive passage.

“We have daily security in Hormuz's street and make it possible for over 80 ships to go through these waters safely. This is a responsibility that we take seriously,” he said.

Tangsii confirmed Iran's long -standing message in regional cooperation and called for peace and fraternity in neighboring countries while warning against the presence of foreign armed forces.

“Uncertainty in Hormuz's street has global consequences, especially for the economy. Foreign powers do not come here for peace – their goals are to anchor their illegitimate presence and drive gun sales,” he said. “Let it have no doubt: those who spend thousands of kilometers to be here do not try to protect this region – we are.”
