A huge Mexican naval training ship was damaged after falling against Brooklyn Bridge in New York during a festive visit to the United States.

A film material was created in which high -towering masts of the Cuauhtémoc, which stretched out the bridge when the sailing ship drove past the famous structure on Saturday evening.

According to reports, parts of the masts fell on the deck, whereby US media reported several injuries. New York City's emergency management said that it was “an incident” without giving further details.

The Mexican Navy confirmed that the ship was damaged and said the incident was being examined.

The New York City fire brigade confirmed that the authorities reacted to injuries, reports CBS, US partner of BBC.

The department said there was no details about how many people were injured or whether they were on the ship or on the bridge.

In an explanation of X, Nycem said: “The situation is developing and details are currently not confirmed.”

Media reports state that the Cuauhtémoc had more than 200 crew members on board.

It was in New York City during a goodwill visit.
