Trump receives emotionally thanks from the liberated Hamas as a hostage: “You saved my life.”

In an emotional and widespread moment, President Donald J. Trump spoke directly to Edan Alexander, the 21-year-old American-Israeli soldier, who was recently freed from Hamas captivity, during a call recorded in front of the camera and published by the white house.

“Mr. President,” Alexander Trump visibly described at the beginning of the call. “You are the only reason why I'm here. You saved my life.”

The telephone conversation, which took place when Alexander recovered in Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center, came just a few days after his dramatic publication of Gaza, where after his kidnapping by Hamas on October 7, 2023, he was held hostage for over 580 days.

President Trump greeted Edan with a little humor and humility and said: “I am very nervous to talk to them, edan, because they are a much greater celebrity than me.”

Trump also expressed American solidarity and the commitment of the government to bring all hostages home while calling.

“You are an American and we love you,” said Trump to Alexander. “We'll take care of you. And your parents are incredible. I saw your mother. She pushed me around a bit – a lot of pressure on me.”

“Like a good mother!” called out Edans mother in the background.

The hearty exchange was published online by the official report of the White House and quickly became viral, which praised the entire political spectrum for the exhibition of humanity and international unity.

Alexander's release occurred in the middle of the intensified US -Diplomatic pressure and the quiet negotiations, some of which were coordinated by the high -ranking envoys Steve Witkoff and Adam Boehler.

Trump had previously signaled his determination to secure the freedom of the American citizens kept abroad, and made Alexander's top priority.

A coalition of 65 former hostages recently signed a letter in which President Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu were asked to “build on this breakthrough” and to strengthen the efforts for a comprehensive agreement to ensure the safe return of every hostage.

Prime Minister Netanyahu recognized the success of these combined efforts and explained: “This was achieved thanks to our military pressure and the diplomatic pressure of President Trump. This is a winning combination.”

The White House did not react immediately to the request from FOX News Digital by comment.
