Ossipee NH Route 28 Crash, Road Friday – NBC Boston

A serious crash with a dump truck in Ossipee, New Hampshire, left one person dead, another driver with the DWI ranking and the Route 28 closed on Friday.

According to the state police, soldiers were called 28 at around 11:47 a.m. to provide a crash between a Mack Mulde Truck from 2005 and a 2012 Hyundai Santa Fe.

After the police were on site, the police found that the commercial waste dump had hit the small crossover SUV and critically injured the driver.

According to the police, a subsequent investigation showed that Robert Gifford drove north in his dump truck, when he lost control, rolled out the vehicle, spilled its contents on the street and hit Dorothy Marshall's SUV, which drove in the opposite direction.

The 80 -year -old Marshall from Ossipee died of the injuries she had suffered from the collision, the police said.

The 54 -year -old Gifford from Rochester, who was not injured, was arrested and charged with a serious journey while he was intoxicated, the police said. It is recorded in the Carroll County Department of Corrections at the deposit until an indictment is planned for Monday. It was not immediately clear whether he had received a lawyer.

The fatal crash closed the Route 28 for about 7.5 hours, while the soldiers carried out their investigative and emergency staff for the removal of the vehicles involved and the associated debris, including what from the dump truck poured over when he tipped over. During this time, traffic was redirected to Pork Hill Road in Route 171 in Route 171, which connects to Route 28 in North Wolfboro again.
