SAPD publish video of “People of Interest” in the murder of the Brewer Academy student Simon Cuevas III.

SAN ANTONIO – A month after Simon Cuevas III, 14, was shot after leaving the school at the Brewer Academy, SAPD shared a video of two people who are seen as “of interest”.

The murder occurred on April 16 in South Elmendorf Street and the Merida Street.

However, the authorities are looking for the help of the public to identify the two persons below.

The identification of the people and the provision of information that leads to an arrest for murder of Simon Cuevas III could be met with a reward of Crime Stopper of 5,000 US dollars.

SAPD has no name for the two people shown, nor was the department confirmed whether the two Brewer Academy students depicted are. The department asks the help of the community to identify it.

During a press conference immediately after the shootings on April 16, Johnny Reyes, chief of police from Saisd: “We can confirm that this affects our students from the Brewer Academy.”

Simon's mother Alejandra Cuevas discussed the lack of arrests and information about this case.

“It is frustrating, but at the same time I try to be patient and understand it,” said Alejandra Cuevas. “It is probably the best thing that you have to keep things to yourself.”

“My son was murdered and he didn't deserve it,” said Cuevas. “There are people out there who know about it.

Anyone who recognizes the people in the video or has information that could lead to arrests in this case is asked to contact 210-224 stop.
